There are many thoughtful words from our resident’s and caregivers.
“My dad had a wonderful experience at Zelma Lacey House. The staff was friendly, capable and made him and the rest of our family feel right at home.”

“On December 13, 2013, my aunt Carmela Kupchaunis (Mela to me) went to the Zelma Lacey House to live. The day before I called the Peabody Properties and inquired if my aunt could have her cat (BABY) with her if took the responsibility of the cat care. The company allowed Baby to come with her. The first night at Zelma Lacey house for my aunt was so less stressful because of her cat being with her. For that I am truly grateful. My Aunt passed away on February 17, 2015 at the age of 91 from a heart attack at Mass General. The whole Kupchaunis Family wants to Thank You for everything the Zelma Lacey House did for their mother and my aunt. Mela lived the last year of her life happy and safe.”

“The staff at Zelma Lacey is outstanding. Even though the transition to Assisted Living can be difficult, everything was done to make my Dads’ transition as easy and comfortable as possible, he felt like he had a sister right there beside him through all of this. After several years my Dad passed away recently and all I can say is I couldn’t have done it without the Zelma Lacey House staff especially the Resident Care Director who was amazing.”

“I have worked with the Zelma Lacey House community since 2006. I consider it a special place. The location is great. The apartments and facilities are lovely. The food is very good. And the Zelma Lacey House staff is attentive and caring. It is a real community, with residents who care about one another and look to connect with new members as they move in.”

“The staff at Zelma Lacey is so caring and welcoming that my Dad felt at home here more quickly than I anticipated. This is home now for him. He enjoys the activities, his new friends and a quality of life he could never have imagined before moving to the Zelma Lacey House. His quality of life has vastly improved.”

“My father’s transition to living at Zelma Lacey House has been a smooth one.The staff is wonderful and has made him feel welcome, liked, special, and at home. In just a few short months he feels like he has many friends, both residents and staff, and has a more positive outlook on life. As his daughter, I am thankful that he is not alone and that help and friendly faces are always nearby. During my frequent visits to Zelma Lacey I also feel welcome, known, and comfortable. There’s a nice community feel. Upon return from a recent hospitalization, it was truly heart-warming to see how many people were genuinely happy to see him back. No doubt our lives are better and happier since my dad moved to Zelma Lacey House.”
